Event Description:
The fall performance of "Hairspray" will be the first performance in the beautiful new theatre, "The Venue Theatre Company", located in the Conifer Safeway Center.
"Hairspray" character auditions will then be held Saturday August 17, at 9:00 AM, with callbacks on Saturday afternoon. Audition days are free.
At The Venue, all ages and levels of experience are welcome, from pre-k through high school. All programs include study in voice, acting skills and dance/movement. Instruction in technical theater, including set construction, lights, stage management and production, will also be available. For the high school group, Hairspray rehearsals will take place this fall on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-8:30. Elementary and Middle School programs will begin in September. Hairspray, and other productions and programs, are tuition based.
