As another wildlife birthing season begins in Evergreen, the temptation for human and beast to run wild through our plentiful open spaces is large. But a dangerous hazard lies waiting in many of these spaces for all, ghost barbed wire. Wild Aware needs volunteers to continue removing ghost fence from Dedisse Park. Meet at the picnic pavillion in Dedisse Park on Saturday, June 17 at 10am. Bring heavy gloves, water and weather-appropriate gear and barbed wire cutters if you have them. We’ll be done at 1pm and have lunch if you signup for it. Mark your calendar for additional barbed wire removal on July 22 and August 19, same time and location.
