Event Description:
Enjoy an evening of world class jazz at the Evergreen Chamber Orchestra’s 2nd Annual Jazz Gala on May 12th, 6 pm at Mount Vernon Country Club on Lookout Mountain.  The award winning jazz band “Bill Hill and Friends” will be featured, led by classical/jazz/world music percussionist William Hill, who is Music Director of the Evergreen Chamber Orchestra and principal timpanist and composer of the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.  The $70 ticket price includes a heavy hors d’oeuvre buffet (i.e., dinner), 2 free drinks, a silent auction, and an evening of fabulous musical entertainment!  Proceeds benefit ECO, the only orchestra based in Colorado’s foothills.  During their 34th season ECO performed 9 orchestral concerts, as well as 4 chamber music recitals, and 2 educational outreach concerts.  Jazz Gala tickets must be purchased in advance and are available at http://evergreenchamberorch.org/ or by leaving a message at 303-670-6558.
