The magic of the genie comes alive in the Evergreen Children’s Chorale’s spring musical, Aladdin Jr.
Aladdin Jr. is a much-loved story about a poor boy (played by Trevor Targowski) that makes good in the long run by simply being himself versus pretending to be someone else. Other memorable characters include Jasmine (Isabella Mohr), the Genie (Cameron Marter) and the Sultan played by Tomas Feichtinger who finally learns to be a father first and a ruler second. Audiences will be delighted with the Magic Carpet, colorful costumes, the athleticism of Abu, the monkey (Gracie LaMonica) and the wry humor of Iago, the parrot (Colby Lish).
The show also features several narrators (Lisa Charles, Stellla Martin, Mariah Wildes, Julia Romero, Emilly Rauch, Kayla Wolins, and Jenna Weidner) who help bring the story to life and of course many delightful and well-known Disney songs sure to leave you singing along well after the show is over.
The spring show marks the last time that the 8th graders will be performing on-stage with ECC and a special celebration honoring their membership in the ECC family will be held during the final show on Sunday, May 5th. These special performers include Morgan Brown, Cameron Marter, Isabella Mohr, Jenna Weidner, Lisa Charles, Chantel Flukiger, Josephina Hartmann, Isabella Prochaska, Julia Romero, and Sophie Saxton.
The Evergreen Children’s Chorale (ECC) is a mountain community choir comprised of 4th - 8th grade performers who delight audiences with their beautiful voices and professional quality performances. ECC is a non-profit organization and was formed in January 1991 as the community recognized a need in the mountain area for a high-quality music performance ensemble specifically designed for children.
