As the crisp autumn air settles in and the aspens turn to gold, Evergreen Players is thrilled to announce their upcoming Halloween-themed production, "A Dark and Stormy Night." Opening on Friday, October 17th, the show promises an engaging theatrical experience over two weekends, concluding on Sunday, October 26th.
Celebrating their 75th year as Colorado's oldest continuously operating community theatre, The Evergreen Players are introducing a unique format this season. The evening will feature two suspenseful one-act plays alongside the popular "EverSCREAM Readings"— now in its third year. This portion of the evening will include readings of classic, spine-tingling tales by renowned authors such as Stephen King, H.P. Lovecraft, and Edgar Allan Poe, presented by the talented duo, Leann and Eric Ritter.
The evening includes two one-act plays: "The Seated Queen," a tale of a couple tormented by a spirit and their quest for help from a spiritualist, and "At the Far End of the Garden," where strangers in a stormy bus station share unsettling stories, heightening suspicions among them. This year marks a special collaboration as The Evergreen Players partner with The Ritter's EverSCREAM to deliver an evening filled with chills and thrills at historic Center Stage.
