Whether it's trying to identify prints or scat, figuring out who scratched up a tree or what's been stealing veggies from the garden, tracking is a fun skill to learn. With activities designed to help with skills in observation and deduction, Junior Naturalists will be able to identify animals by their tracks, utilize the skills of observation and critical thinking required of tracking, and record their findings in a meaningful way. Get ready to make your next trip to the woods or your own backyard just a bit more memorable. Ages 6-10 years with an adult. Get down and dirty while searching for tracks. Please wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Bring with you a notebook, pencil, and a small ruler or tape measure in order to record your observations. There will be an easy 1 mile (or less) hike during this program at Reynolds Park. You will meet the naturalist by the kiosk in the main parking lot.
