The 2013 Triple Bypass will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of this spectacular annual ride. The ride from Evergreen to Avon will occur on Saturday, July 13, 2013 and the ride from Avon to Evergreen will occur on Sunday, July 14 2013. Team Evergreen will allow 1,000 riders to participate in completing both ride days, known as the “Double Triple Bypass.”
As one of the most challenging one-day cycling events in the country, the traditional Triple Bypass requires summiting three mountain passes - Juniper (11,140 ft.), Loveland (11,990 ft.) and Vail (10,560 ft.) - and more than 10,000 feet in elevation gain during the 120-mile ride. The Double Triple Bypass is definitely not for the faint hearted and the 1,000 riders who complete both days will conquer six mountain passes, more than 10,000 feet in elevation gain and 240-miles in less than 48 hours.
Team Evergreen is a non-profit 501(c)(4) organization, and is deeply involved in bicycle and community organizations to support and promote the sport of cycling and The Triple Bypass Ride is their flagship event. Team Evergreen has donated over $1 Million to local charities in the past 25 years.
