Are you looking for a way to get involved in your community? Apply for a Jefferson County Volunteer Board or Commission!

On June 28, the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) announced a call for applications to serve on numerous Volunteer Boards and Commissions. Applications will be accepted through August 1 for appointments made in late September, 2018. View vacancies and apply here: www.jeffco.us/767/Boards-Commissions

Public involvement is fundamental to good government. Service through Jefferson County’s volunteer boards and commissions (Boards) is an effective way for citizens to provide valuable input and make a positive impact in our community on issues ranging from pending land use cases to the allocation of open space grant funds.

Jefferson County residents interested in serving on a Board must fill out an online application located on the county’s website, www.jeffco.us/767/Boards-Commissions. Certain Boards require specific criteria for selection. Applicants are strongly encouraged to review each Board’s web page for more information.

For questions about the application process or any of the Boards, please email volunteerboards@jeffco.us or call Deborah Churchill.
